First becomes second, second becomes third, and the top end of fourth gear has the big black Busa traveling at close to 169mph before I select fifth. Hoping I have counted correctly, I push the nitrous button and an extra 100 horsepower is put to the rear tire, noticeably accelerating the bike even at this speed. The shift light comes up fast, and keeping the throttle pinned it’s time to hit sixth and get back onto the juice. The sound is incredible, the roaring wind threatening to tear any part of my leathers left exposed off my body. Staring through the windshield is like looking down a telescope the wrong way, as I force myself to accept that the white line in the middle of the track goes straight though the timing lights.
