If you’re planning on heading to Portugal or Spain for some summer sun, the good news is that you don’t have to ride your own bike all the way there. Hertz – best known for its worldwide car rental programmes – has expanded its rental program to include a comprehensive selection of BMW motorcycles available for hire in various locations in Portugal and Spain.

Aspiring BMW riders – or even those BMW owners who want to try an extended test ride of a new model before buying – can experience the open road in style with Hertz’s 2008 Motorbike
Collection. In Portugal (Lisbon, Faro and Porto), three new BMW models have been added to the fleet, which already includes the legendary R 1200 RT touring machine.

The new G 650 Xcountry will be a popular choice for those who want to explore all kinds of terrain – both on and off-road. With its lightweight design, excellent road-going and off-road qualities, the G 650 Xcountry has been described as one of the most versatile BMW bikes ever built. To hire this bike, riders must be at least 28-years-old and have held a full motorcycle licence for at least three years.
