SS Gear Moment of Truth Boot.

The older I get the lazier I get and I’m not ashamed of it, either. And that laziness comes into play with footwear, and more specifically motorcycle footwear. I believe in always wearing protective boots, and in warm weather, I prefer short boots to tall ones. And I’ve just found a pair of short summer boots that not only serve me well as good protection against a mishap, but they’re also great for the lazy sloth that I’ve become in putting them on and taking them off easily.

The “Moment of Truth” boots by SS Gear require no laces to put them on or remove them. Just slide your feet into them, and the front soft padded tongue is secured snugly with a wide Velcro closure. The top part of the boot is further tightened with a cool looking “Lock and Load aluminum buckle with an adjustable ratchet strap, just like a ski boots have. So it’s easy on and easy off, yet they can be made to fit as tightly as you’d want and need for protection.

They boots are made of perforated leather uppers, so they’ll help to keep your feet cool in hot weather. They have a slip resistant outsole for sure traction on the pavement. They also feature a molded heel protector and toe box, and ankle reinforcements for added protection. The footbed is a springy padded removable piece that makes for comfortable all day walking. The tops of the toe portion of the boots have an anti-mar rubber layer to grip the shift peg better and so it can’t wear out the leather prematurely.
