GEARBAG: Road Runner Drink Holder
The Road Runner drink holder is easily accessible when riding on hot days, and means that you don’t have to pull off the road as often.

I’m a hard guy to buy presents for. So when I got the promotional E-mail from Leader Motorcycle Accessories touting their Father’s Day specials, I decided to buy my own presents, and have my wife inform my daughters that she took care of getting presents for them to give to me. I get what I want, they’re happy not to have to shop, and they’re also glad I’ll be happy with the gifts. WIN-WIN-WIN.
So, I ordered Leader’s Road Runner drink holder to mount on my Triumph America. The drink holder is a terrific product that Leader has been making for years. I ordered the chrome model, and it is waaay nicer looking than it needs to be, but that just makes it fit in with the brightwork on most cruisers. And it also comes in black for those who prefer their motorcycle with the sinister look of the popular “dark” paint schemes.
The unit comes with a chromed aluminum mounting bracket for use on round handlebars, or any round bar on the bike, and can be ordered to fit bars from ¾-inch top 1-1/4- inch. Then you insert the Ultra Secure faceted ring which allows you to have your drink in the correct upright orientation, and just slip the non-spill travel mug into it. If you are a soda can or water bottle person, instead of the travel mug, you can order an “Ultra Snap” insert that accommodates those containers nicely.
Instead of using the handlebars, I decided to mount the unit to the upright on my sissy bar bracket. It’s an easy reach back for me, and if I have a passenger, it is easy for her to use it as well.
It’s great to have a cold beverage so easily accessible when riding on hot days, and means that you don’t have to pull off the road as often. And I’ll look forward to having hot coffee on those chilly days come the fall. Everything you need to mount the unit comes with, so five minutes after you get your package, you’re ready to use it. And best of all, it’s made right here in the USA. Happy Fathers Day to me !
