There are few motorcyclists out there who are unaware of Bike Week. Even if they haven't been there, they have heard of the mass of humanity that invades the Florida beach resort of Daytona every year in early March to enjoy a week of sunshine, camaraderie, and motorcycles. With people coming from all over the country, and indeed all over the world to celebrate, it has to be one of the greatest freak shows on earth. Entertaining close to 600,000 visitors and at least a few hundred thousand motorcycles, you can see just about any type of two wheeled creation you can possible imagine on the streets of Daytona. And one thing is for sure when it comes to Bike Week
posing, it takes something extremely special to stand out in such a massive, over stimulated crowd.

Having attended Bike Week as a wallflower on many occasions, riding a stock, unmodified loaner bike, I have always wondered what it must be like to be one of the characters attracting all the attention. The guy on the slammed, turbo Busa, with a mile long swing arm, neon lights, spinner rims and a bleach-blond porn star on the passenger seat thrusting her silicon and exercise enhanced parts into the atmosphere for the thousands of waiting camera lenses: The custom chopper guys, with their extended front ends, more chrome than the Harley shop, and the loudest pipes on any end of Main Street. Sporting tattooed muscles, in places where I don't even have places, they usually have some sort of super model sitting on the fender as the final ornament of choice.
