Neale Bayly Rides With Yamaha To Laguna Seca Day 3
A cold, damp start to the day, but by mid-day the sun was out and the bikes were on the track. Jorge Lorenzo pulled off a stunning last lap to take the pole from Casey Stoner. Josh Hayes made it a Yamaha double by taking his tenth pole of the year. The Yamaha marketplace was hopping. There were seminars, custom bike shows and vendor area big screen TVs showing all the action. It was definitely the place to be. We watched the AMA SuperSport race in the SPEED TV truck, which is an incredible experience to see just how live television is made. Then it was off to join the Yamaha VIP program for lunch and walk the pit garages. The fans buy a special ticket and Yamaha caters a lunch, introduces them to the racers and gives them a private walk through of the garage areas. Lastly, I hopped in the MotoGP area and did a little star gazing, and then went back up to the Yamaha Chalet to enjoy the on-track action. It was a full day of racing to come.
