Motorcycle journalist and adventurist Neale Bayly spent more than a week riding across Peru with a cast of characters, including a doctor, an entrepreneur and a “whiskey priest,” culminating with amazing work at a local orphanage. The resulting journey is scheduled to be presented as a three-part series in June on SPEED entitled Neale Bayly Rides: Peru. Here, Bayly offers a quick recap upon his return:

“ … Back from Peru with nearly everyone in one piece. A couple of cracked bones -- a rib or two -- some bruising, altitude sickness, stomach bugs and a couple of near death experiences … We are very happy with the filming. We battled sand storms, hail storms, thick fog and freezing conditions at 14,500 feet in the Andes, as well as long, hard days on the gas in the deserts. The cast did fantastic and apart from all needing a day in the truck to rest, they made it. It was emotional, exhilarating, challenging and ultimately incredibly rewarding in equal measures.”
